A solid compensation awarded to the international media & licensing company and studio for the infringement of intellectual property rights
Edita Ivanauskiene sucessfully assisted a civil claimant, an international media & licensing company and studio, in the civil case against UAB „Saldainis“, a Lithuania company, regarding the infringement of intellectual property rights to animated brands, destruction of the seized counterfeit goods, injunctions of further infringing actions and payment of the licence fee. The first instance court fully satisfied all the requirements of the civil claimant and, very likely for the first time in a history of Lithuania, awarded a solid licence fee of 68 060 EUR based on the fact that the defendant imported, stored and intended to sell the infringing goods in the European market. The appeal of the decision of the first instance court by the defendant was unsuccessful.
